Recently, I bought myself some "Carnival Cupcakes" - wonderful treats without any calories. That's because they are not made of butter, sugar, eggs and flour but of pure plastic. So you're well advised not to eat them. For stamping, however, they are perfectly suited, as "Carnival Cupcakes" is a wonderful clear set by Mama Elephant. Not only does it include some fine cupcake builder stamps but also a few adorable animal stamps. I took two of those and two cupcake builder stamps and created a little scene. Making use of some other supplies in my craft room I finally came up with the following birthday card (the German sentiment reads "Congratulations"):
This side view gives a good impression of the dimension the card gets from the banner, the sequins and, of course, the embossed background panel.
As you can never have too much birthday cards, I've immediately made a second version on a darker cardstock.
The colors appear a little more vibrant here. I did, however, also find it more difficult to clearly define the shadows and the highlights on the darker paper.
